when we hurt...

I grabbed this image from Karen's Place this morning. It spoke to me. Encouraged me. Because I hurt.

I hurt from what I've done.

I hurt from where I've been.

I hurt from where I fell down ...

got scuffed up

shattered

maimed

I hurt for what I've done to others.

I hurt for what others have done to me.

I hurt from my self-centeredness

pride

unforgiveness

shame

insecurity and loss

SIN

I'm thinking maybe its a good thing I hurt. Maybe I'm suppose to. Maybe there's a purpose to my pain.

Maybe this pain is suppose to lead to repentance.

Freedom.

Redemption.

Maybe, just maybe, it is from my hurt that I may be used greatly.

I think that's encouraging...

"Going though the motions doesn't please you, a flawless performance is nothing to you. I learned God-worship when my pride was shattered. Heart-shattered lives ready for love don't for a moment escape God's notice." Ps 51:16-17 MSG

Do you hurt? Has Father ever used your hurt in a great way?

I love that quote by Tozer. It is so true. The wounds received from the Father are from His love and tender mercy. Though they often hurt deeply, He is also the One who comforts, heals, and redeems. Love this post, my friend. We need to catch up soon.

Yes!! I think of you often. We really do need to make an intentional plan to do coffee or lunch, or something.
